What is liberation learning?

Liberation Learning is an approach to education that helps people understand and question unfair systems. It's all about empowering children to think critically, grow personally, and work with others to create a more just world.

We help your child develop their voice and awareness so they can become an active participant in their own learning and a force for positive change in society.

Hi there, I'm Kirsti Ince! I live in Benfleet and have two fantastic grown-up kids, Ellie and George. When I'm not teaching, you'll probably find me enjoying time with my dog, out riding my horse, or curled up with a good book.

I've actually been working in education for 17 years now, and for the past five, I've absolutely loved being a Year 4 Class Teacher. Before that, I taught in Reception, and Years 1, 2, and 3, so I've seen a bit of everything! My big passion right now is making times tables fun and easy for kids.

I truly believe that learning them through games and songs, not just tests, makes such a huge difference for their maths journey from Year 4 onwards. Oh, and I can teach Year 5 maths too! And reading? Well, that's another one of my strong points. It opens up so many worlds for children and is such a crucial life skill. Having taught so many different age groups, I've got lots of experience helping anyone who finds reading a bit tricky.
